Of other factories may here be mentioned those engaged in the manufacture of marga- rine, soap, non-alcoholic beverages and sweets for the homemarket. Reykjavik has a slipwav chiefly intended for repairs and the build- ing of small vessels; and a gas-works and a power-plant supplying gas and electricity.
