ARTICLE 16, 
The provisions of this Treaty 
relating to prohibitions or restric- 
fions on importation and expor- 
sation do not apply to the trade 
in opium and other substances 
included now or hereafter within 
the scope of the International 
Opium Convention signed at 
Geneva on the 19th February, 
1925, it being understood that 
such trade shall remain subject 
to the laws and regulations in 
force in the territories of the 
High Contracting Parties. 
ARTICLE 17. 
Internal duties levied within 
she territories of either of the 
High Contracting Parties for the 
benefit of the State, or local 
authorities or corporations on 
goods the produce or manufac- 
ture of the territories of the 
other Party shall not be other 
or greater than the duties levied 
in similar circumstances on the 
like goods of national origin, 
provided that in no case shall 
such duties be more burdensome 
shan the duties levied in similar 
circumstances on the like goods 
of anv other foreivn country. 
ARTICLE 18. 
The High Contracting Parties 
agree with respect to the treat- 
ment of commercial travellers and 
samples to accord to each other in 
their territories all those facilities 
and privileges which are set out 
in the International Convention 
relating to the Simplification of 
Customs Formalities signed at 
Geneva on the 3rd November. 
1923. 
Any further facilities or privi- 
leges accorded by either Party to 
anv other foreign country in re-

Dispozijiunile acestui tratat, 
privitoare la prohibifiuni sau 
restrictiuni la import san export, 
nu se aplicd comerfului de opium 
si alte substante, cuprinse acum 
sau in viitor in cadrul Conventiei 
Internationale a Opiumului, sem- 
natd la Geneva la 19 Februarie 
1925, fiind inteles ci acest comer} 
va rimane supus legilor si regu- 
lamentelor in vigoare pe teritoriile 
Inaltelor Parti Contractante. 
ARTICOLUL 17. 
Taxele interne percepute in 
cuprinsul  teritoriilor fiecdreia 
dintre Inaltele Parti Contractante 
in beneficiul Statului, antoritifilor 
locale sau corporatiunilor, pe mar- 
furi, produse sau fabricate in 
teritoriile celeilalte Parti, nu vor 
fi deosebite sau nai mari decit 
taxele percepute in imprejuriri 
similare pe mirfuri analoage de 
origind nationali, cu condifia ca 
in nici un caz aceste taxe si nu 
fie mal impovirdtoare decilt taxele 
percepute in imprejuriri similare 
pe marfuri analoage apartinind 
oricirul alt stat strain.

Inaltele Parti Contractante 
recunosc in ceeace privegte trata- 
mentul voiajorilor comerciali si 
al mostrelor, si-gi acorde reciproc, 
pe teritoriile lor, toate inlesnirile 
gi privilegiile indicate in Con- 
ventia Internationald privitoare 
la Simplificarea Formalitatilor 
Vamule, semnatd la Geneva la 
2 Noembrie 1923. 
Orice alte inlesniri sau privilegii 
acordate de vreuna din Parti
