Tat sächlich hat England an Jute aus Britisch-Indien eingeführt: 1890 369690 t im Werte von 100,4 Mill. Mark 1913 • • 350826 t „ „ „ 188,6 „ Es läßt sich aus der vorseitigen Aufstellung nur schließen, daß die Jute industrie Englands — in der Ausdehnung seit 1890 sich ziemlich gleich bleibend — in erster Linie für die Ausfuhr arbeitet, indem ein kleinerer Teil als Halbfabrikate (Garne) und ein größerer Teil als Fertigwaren ausgeführt wird. Auch die Einfuhr an Jutegeweben und Säcken ist eine recht be deutende. Die hauptsächlichsten Einfuhrländer hierfür im Jahre 1913 waren: Britisch-Indien 49,5 Mill. Mk.
