Save our Forests
NINETY per cent. of our forest fires are caused by carelessness in throwing down
lighted cigarettes and by not putting out camp fires. Please try to get your camp
fire adjacent to the shore of a lake or river, and water it dead out, when leaving camp. r
We must save our forests—protect our mining timber—our pulpwood, and the jobs tri
of Canadian woodsmen and mill men—our wild animals—their forest preserves—and the -
sporty fish which seek the shady waters. Above all, Northern experience cautions us to
make human life safe throughout the Northland.
Lumbermen, as well as Governments, have heavy increased costs of fire prevention, ‘he
and Canadian mining men and all other consumers will help “Save our Forests” when they h28
purchase home-grown forest products. is
