by it.” This, it explains, ‘“ will be best performed 
under a specialised curriculum, narrow enough 
in scope to permit of concentration upon the 
Special problems of the type of commercial 
business in which the student is engaged and 
yet wide enough to promote adaptability and 
to supplement the training which a restricted 
business experience provides." This, of course, 
18 an excellent ideal : it remains to see how it is 
to be carried out. 
Two years of study have, it is assumed, 
normally to be provided for, with six periods 
(of an hour or an hour and a quarter) per week 
during the sessions. A number of grouped 
Courses are recommended, three usually fixed and 
Occupying four periods, together with certain 
elective subjects, whereof usually one is to be 
taken, occupying two periods. The several 
Broups are either general and intended to meet 
the requirements of certain large categories of 
Students; whether (a) purely commercial (and
