other warehousemen. At this port, the Company owns steel piers 
and wharfs, alongside which five steamers of about 10,000 ton class 
can be moored at a time. Electric cranes for loading and dischar- 
ging have been erected, and large sheds and warehouses have been 
constructed close by. Steamboats and lighters are at command; 
railways interweave among the buildings; and thus every facility 
is provided for transportation. All other branches are also fitted 
with the necessities required for the trade carried on at such ports.
