Make a form for keeping sales records of wool, breeding stock,
lambs and mutton sheep. Summarize records filled by one or
more farms.

ing to improve their grade stock by use of pure-bred males? (b)
Ask them how they improve their pure-bred flock. (a) Find what

inquiry.— (a) Describe good methods of shearing which you can
find. (b) Compare these with poor methods. (c) Get farmers
to describe the tying of fleeces properly. (d) Into what Kinds of

special management is required for the production of early spring
lambs. (b) On what date have farmers sold their earliest lambs
in recent years? (c) Compare prices received earlier and later.

ers prepare sheep for show or for auction sales. (b) Help them
prepare sale catalogs or study sale catalogs. (c) Ask sheep men
to compare private selling with auction sales. (d) Obtain their
opinions as to showing at fairs. }
