When sheep are on pastures they should be kept free from 
stomach worms. These pests are most serious in warm climates. 
Rotation of pastures about every two weeks is a very satisfactory 
plan to follow, but drenching is also helpful. Sheep are sometimes

troubled with bloat when first turned on succulent pastures. A 
good plan is to pasture only a few hours each day at first and avoid 
beginning when the grass is wet with dew or rain. Have shade in 
the pastures and a good supply of fresh running water. Breeding 
ewes, on good pasture, seldom need other feed. When pastures are 
dry or otherwise scanty supply ground grains or whole oats in 
troughs once each day. 
As the winter season approaches, sort the flock before putting 
them into winter lots. This is specially important when the num-
