Although copper ore exists in many places, there are at present only two 
mines at work, namely those of Bor and Majdanpek, both of which are in Serbia. 
The Bor Mines have been exploited by a French company for 25 years. Here 
the pyrites of iron and copper contain up to 69, of copper and some gold (about 
25—30 grams per ton), as well as 120—130 grams of silver to a ton of ore. These 
mines are responsible for practically the whole output of the country.

IV. Lead 
Most of the lead is in Slovenia, Bosnia and Serbia, but it is mined almost 
exclusively in the MeZice mine in Slovenia. The figures of output are:

The export of lead ore is very small, while the export of smelted metal in the
