V. Zine 
Zine ore is found in Slovenia and Serbia. At present only the Slovenian mines 
at Mezice and Celje are at work, and these produce only small quantities. The 
following list shows the output of ore.

In order to supply the zine mines at Celje about 15.000 tons of zinc ore are 
imported yearly from Austria, Italy and Germany, to a value of about 10 million 
dinars. 
VI. Manganese 
Manganese which is usually allied to iron ore, is found in Bosnia, Sumadija, 
South Serbia and Montenegro, but very little is mined. The only mines at work 
are those of Semizovac-Cevljanovié in Bosnia, which from 1919 to 1925 produced 
the following amounts :

Most of the manganese mined is used in the country for the smelting of iron, 
while the rest, about 13,5%, is exported. 
VII. Bauxite 
Deposits of bauxite appear in many places in Slovenia, Croatia, Dalmatia 
and Montenegro. The chief are near the Lake of Bohinje in Slovenia, at Velebit in 
Croatia, on the islands of Krk and Rab, while even larger quantities exist at DrniS 
near the railway line from Knin to Sibenik. The bauxite in Dalmatia is estimated 
to exceed 20 million tons.
