Manchuria, Harbin (North Manchuria), and Vladivostok,
the figures being given in tables 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, & 22,
as given elsewhere.
The bulk of Manchurian Bean Cake exported found
its way into Japan for manure, and the remainder to South
China and Chosen also for a like purpose. Scarcely any
is shipped to the West, with the exception of bean plate
put out at the Nisshin Oil Mills, Dairen, and the Kabalkin
Mills, Harbin, that is exported to England and the United
States for cattle-feed, although only in a limited quantity.
Concerning Bean Oil, the major portion of the total
exports is shipped to England, Italy, Holland, the United
States, and elsewhere in the West to be used as food and
material for making soap, paint, ete. About 20 per cent
goes to South China, and very little to Japan, Chosen, ete.
