Sir: In accordance with the provisions of section 8 of the act of 
Congress approved April 24, 1917 (first Liberty bond act), and 
section 10 of the act of Congress approved September 24, 1917 
second Liberty bond act), as amended, 1 have the honor to submit 
herewith statements of approved expenditures under said acts 
through the fiscal vear ended June 30. 1926. 
I. EXPENDITURES FOR EXPENSES OF TL.OANS 
Three appropriation accounts have been established on the books 
of the Treasury Department as follows: 
1. Expenses of loans, act of April 24, 1917 (for expenses incurred 
prior to September 24, 1917). 
2. Expenses of loans, act of September 24, 1917, as amended 
(for expenses incurred hetween September 24. 1917. and June 30, 
£921). 
3. Expenses of loans, act of September 24, 1917, as amended and 
»xtended (for expenses incurred from July 1. 1921). .
