Con- siderable amounts of gold appear to have been shipped also to Ger- many. The Russian gold shipment of over $5,000,000 received in the United States in February, 1928, proceeded from Germany and was returned, in April, to the same country. Accordingly the respec- tive amount figures in the U. S. trade returns as a gold import from and export to Germany.
