The cargo landed by American steamers in 1927 amounted to 24,848 tons and, In 1926, 22,237 tons. Very little outward cargo was taken, namely, 1,385 tons in 1927 and 1,598 tons in 1926. PROGRESS OF THE GREEK FREE ZONE DURING THE FIRST TWO YEARS OF ITS OPERATION The Greek authorities are entirely satisfied with the progress made by the Greek free zone since its inauguration in October, 1925.
