Mr. Jones. No, just put it in the record, and it will show what
that was during that period. I think 1t covers that information.

Ar. Horr. And do you have a similar record of that kind on
wheat!

Mr. Brepsor. I have the average prices of wheat; yes. That is
shown here on these tabulations.

Grand average for 20 vears, $137.51; Aug. 1 to Dec. 1, $130.81.
Mr. Fort. Can you give us a table showing the carrying charges
per month?

Mr. Brepsoe. The carrying charges vary in every warehouse,
Mr. Fort, with regard to the insurance, storage, and interest.

Mr. Fort. Well, is there any table that will give us an average—in
other words, would it be on wheat 1 cent a bushel in a three-months
period as the average cost of carrying charges, interest, storage and
insurance, or would it be any more; do you have figures there showing
the variations in your carrying charge figures. I do not know what
that ought to be. Co

Mr. Buepsoe. Well, that is a matter of business administration,
you understand, whether your carrying charges average for the
season, or, whether they are more or less than the average for the
season. The marketing conditions in the Staple Cotton Association
show that the carrying charges vary according to the market we run
up against each year. However, I would say the carrying charges
are about 1 per cent for interest and about $1.75 per bale storage,
and our expenses are about 114 per cent.

Mr. Fort. Is that per month or per year?

Mr. BrEpsor. That is for the marketing season; I mean, the
average for the association during the six years in which we have done
business. I do not think you would get a variation in the market
inder those conditions.

Mr. Fort. You would if vou had it insured.
