Auf Grund der in London gesammelten Erfahrungen wurde 1853 das
Clearing-Haus in New York eröffnet, dem bald ähnliche Einrichtungen
an anderen größeren amerikanischen Plätzen folgten, 1867 entstand das
erste Clearing-Haus in Australien, in Melbourne.
