and success, and to the creation of a great and
profitable business.

In the past, the Will has been written about
by Professors of metaphysics. The whole
subject has been befogged by scholasticism.
Almost all the books on the Will are unintelligible
 to practical men of affairs.

Schopenhauer wrote two books on the Will
—The World as Will and Idea and The Will
in Nature. He wrote these books a hundred
years ago. Ever since then, the Will has been
a favourite subject of philosophers. Practical
men have paid very little attention to it.

But can we afford to ignore it ? Is it not
true that hundreds of men succeed because
they discover how to develop their Will-Power,
 and that tens of thousands of men fail
because of a lack of Will-Power at a critical
moment ?
