464 REPORT ON COOPERATION IN AMERICAN EXPORT TRADE.
(@) ABNORMAL BEARINGS WITH NORMAL SET OF BALLS WITH SLIGHT DEVIATIONS.
(By standard set of balls are meant the standard cages of all members of
the convention.)
If the bearing sought deviates from a standard bearing with the same set
of balls made by one of the members of the convention, to the extent of not
more than 1 mm. in the outside diameter or the width, the list price of this
bearing is considered as the basic price. To this are added the additional percentages
contained in the above unit table, which in each case must be figured
for the abnormal parts or the abnormal part. In connection with the calculation
of these additions, 1-row thrust ball-bearings are to consist of 8 equal
parts (2 races and 1 cage), tension socket bearings of 4 equal parts (2 races, 1
cage, and 1 tension socket), 2-row double-thrust bearings of 5 equal parts, ete.

Example 1a.

2 bearings No. 307, with a bore hole of 34 to 36 mm. instead of 35 mm.,
basie price of No. 307_ eee. 9.00

race deviates from the normal measurement by 1 mm.) cmmeeeeeee.—— 1.50

10. 50

In connection with standard bore of 85 mm. and deviating outside diameter
of 79 to 81 mm. instead of 80 mm., the same gross price of 10.50 marks results.
‘With a standard bore and standard outside diameter, however, up to 1 mm.,
deviating widths, i. e., 20-22 mm. wide instead of 21 mm. wide, the calculation
Iq as follows *

Basic price No. 807 cco © i § 3 Em 9
50 per cent on two-thirds (as inner and outer race, i. e.. in two parts,
deviating) of © Marks=6 Marks... ees cee ree mere er mar a—— 8

If the outer race and the bore deviate up to 1 mm. the same gross price of
12 marks results.
On each part the price addition can only be charged once, i. e., if the outer
race deviates in diameter and ‘n width the addition of one-third of the price
of the bearing applies to both deviations. (General meeting 15. 1. 14.)

(b) ABNORMAL BEARINGS WITH STANDARD SET OF BALLS AND GREATER DEVIATIONS.

In connection with deviations greater than 1 mm., as compared with standard
bearings, the list price “of the part or parts involved” of the next higher
standard bearing of the same series is considered as the basic price * of the
ambnormal part or abnormal parts.” Furthermore the additions for lesser numbers
of bearings from 1-100 and over as per unit tale are figured as ‘described
nnder la. .
Bzamople 1b.

Marks.
Two bearings (No. 807) with a 83 mm. or smaller bore hole, instead of
85 mm. bore (outside diameter and width of bearing normal), two
normal parts (outer race and cage No. 307) =two-thirds of 9 marks_.
One abnormal inner race, 33 mm. bore hole, one-third of the next higher
bearing (No. 308), 10.76 marks _______ ____ oe _

The same gross price results if the bore hole is standard and the outside
diameter is greater or smaller by more than 1 mm. e. g., outside diameter 78
mm. or 82 mm. instead of 80 mm.
If the bore hole and outside diameter are standard, the width, however, deviates
in both races more than 1 mm., e. g., outside diameter of 78 mm. or 82
mm. instead of 80 mm.
