GERMAN POTASH SYNDICATE—AGENCY CONTRACT AND SALES
CONDITIONS.

By the terms of the following agreement? the firm Jules Borgeaud
&amp; Fils, of Algiers, became the sole agent in Algiers for the sale of
raw and concentrated potash salts of the German Potash Syndicate.
AGREEMENT. ’

Between the Potash Syndicate, company with limited liability, Berlin 8. W.
11 Dessauer Street 28-29, party of the first part, and the firm Jules Borgeaud &amp;
Fils, Algiers, party of the second part, the following agreement, effective beginning
 January 1, 1914, has been concluded:
1. The Potash Syndicate, a company with limited liability, designated in this
ngreement henceforth as * Syndicate,” assigns Algeria to the firm Jules
Borgeaud &amp; Fils as its exclusive territory for the sale of raw and concentrated
potash salts.
2, The firm Jules Borgeaud &amp; Fils orders the goods for its own account at
prices and under conditions as determined by the Syndicate. The bills of the
Syndicate are to be promptly settied in cash through the Banque Suisse &amp;
Francaise in Paris.
3. The firm Jules Borgeaud &amp; Fils, of Algiers, shall fix its sales price so
that the commission granted to it remains intact. On the other hand the sales
prices shall not be higher than is necessary to cover the freight, the insurance,
expenses, interest, and risk (delcredere) incident to the business.
4. The firm Jules Borgéaud &amp; Fils on June 30 and December 81 of each year
shall send to the Syndicate a list showing the names of the purchasers, the
«ales prices realized, and the conditions of sale for all transactions concluded
within the last half year, in so far as the firm is able to do so.
5. The firm Jules Borgeaud &amp; Fils shall do its best to effect the sales of the
potash salts in compliance with the instructions issued to it by the Syndicate, to
carry on a propaganda, to report on all business relations and on the market
condition, and to safeguard in every way the interests both of the Syndicate
and of the works and factories supplying the goods.
