(8) That chloride of potassium with a minimum content of 96 per cent shall
not have more than 3 per cent table salt; that chloride of potassium with a
minimum content of 97 per cent shall not have over 2 per cent table salt; that
chloride of potassium with a minimum content of 98 per cent shail not have
more than 1 per cent table salt.
As regards chloride of potassium with a minimum content of 98 per cent and
with. a guaranteed maximum content of one-half per cent table salt, the rule
shall apply that the acceptance of the goods shall not be refused even when
the guaranteed maximum content of table salt shall be exceeded in individual
cases, - Should the latter occur, then the purchase price shall be reduced 20
pfennigs per 100 kilograms and 80 per cent. The content of the table salt for
this grade shall in no case exceed 1 per cent.
14. The prices shall be understood to apply to 100 kilograms net weight and
BO per cent of chloride of potassium, including the agreed packing; the content
above 80 per cent shall be charged up proportionately.

B. CONCERNING HIGH-GRADE SULPHATE OF . POTASSIUM.
15. The Syndicate sells two grades with a minimum content of 90 and 96 per
cent sulphate of potassium,
For the first grade a maximum content of 23 per cent and for the second
grade a maximum of 1 per cent of chlorine is guaranteed.
The quantities of chloride of potassium present in the sulphate of potassium
are computed into sulphate of potassium and charged up as such.
16. The prices shall be understood to apply to 100 kilograms net weight and
90 per cent of sulphate of potassium for pulverized goods, including the agreed
sacking ; the content exceeding 90 per cent shall be charged up proportionately.

C. CONCERNING CALCINIZED POTASSIUM-MAGNESIUM SULPHATE.

17. The goods shall be sold in powdered form under guaranty of a minimum
content of 48 per cent of potassium sulphate and of a maximum content of
2} per cent of chlorine.
The chloride of potassium contained in the calcinized sulphate of potash
magnesia shall be computed into potassium sulphate and charged up as such.
18. The prices shall be understood to apply to 100 kilograms net weight and
48 per cent of sulphate of potassium, Including the agreed sacking; the contents
2xceeding 48 per cent shall be charged up proportionately.
The following is a copy of a sales certificate used by the Potash
Syndicate of Germany guaranteeing the quality and specifying the
quantity of potassium sulphate sold for consumption in Algiers:
OVER-8EA DIVISION.

Sales certificate for 2,000 tons of potassium sulphate with a minimum content
of 90 per cent of sulphate of potassium and with a maximum content of 23
per cent of chlorine.
We hereby certify that we have sold to Messrs. Jules Borgeaud &amp; Fils,
Algiers, 2,000 tons of sulphate of potassium, with a minimum content of 90
per cent of sulphate of potassium and with a maximum content of 2% per cent
of chlorine at the price of 19.60 marks (19 marks and 60 pfennigs), per doppelzentner
 (= 100 kilograms), and 90 per cent on the basis of the conditions of
the price list dated January 5, 1914, and of our conditions of sale attached
herewith.

Concerning this sale the following is agreed to by the purchasers:
The goods are destined for consumption in Algiers. The delivery is to take
place successively during the year 1914. The purchasers are at liberty to
obtain under this certificate also chloride of potassium at the corresponding
prices. The purchasers are entitled to receive under this contract up to a
thousand tons additional at the same prices and conditions, provided they file
a corresponding application on or before July 1 of this year.
