Comber, Hardie, James, and Low, of which the first two reside in the plains and
the second two in Pisagua, being temporarily in this jurisdiction, and all known
to me, and say that in the names of their. principals, as will be verified, they
have just reduced to writing the constitution of an association called “Iodin
Combination,” which are of the following tenor (here follows the constitution).
Those who have appeared declare that they accept and agree:
First, that the amount of shipments of iodin made by Messrs. Folsch &amp;
Martin for the purpose of fixing the quotas in the monthly sales described in
nrticle 7 of the constitution, made a public document by the present instrument,
shall be 700 quintals of iodin annually in conformity with the second paragraph
 of section C of said article 7 of the said constitution; second, that
Messrs. Gil Galte and Loayza &amp; Pascal receive sufficient to make up the
amount of their shipments of iodin for the two years fixed in section B of
said article 7 to the monthly average of that which they have shipped from
April 1, 1892, up to the last shipment made in 1893, the amount shipped by
them during the past three months of the present year up to March 31 last
being considered in making up the total; third, that as to F. S. Marincovich’s
Yungay works and L. Ceballos &amp; Co.'s San Francisco works their quota in
the monthly sales be two quintals while their stocks last. Finally, those
appearing declare that the following producers shall shut down the iodin
factories of the nitrate works actually belonging to them for the period fixed
in the temporary article of the constitution. beginning at the latest the 30th
of the present month:

 except the Catalina works belonging to this company, * Liverpool,”
“ London," “New Tamarugal,” “Paccha &amp; Jazpampa,” * Primitiva,” * Rosario,”
 “Antofagasta Nitrate,” * San Donato,” * San Jorge,” * San Pablo,”
“San Sebastian,” ‘ Santa Elena,” and “ Santa Rita,” and Messrs. Brooking,
Comber &amp; Co., L. Ceballos &amp; Co., 8. Drew, Filsch &amp; Martin, Gil Galte, J.
Gildemeister &amp; Co., Hidalgo &amp; Co., F. 8, Marincovich, E. Quiroga &amp; Bro., J.
Vernal &amp; Castro, Vernal Bros. Zoila M. Hidalgo, and Watter Bros., who represent
 more than the 75 per cent required by said temporary article, and consequently
 the condition imposed by said article to make the constitution binding
has been complied with. The powers and personnel are not inserted in this
