Art. 30. The constitution of the association approved by the Government in
decree No. 457 of August 19, 1912, is hereby annulled and the present constitution
 substituted therefor.

Having considered the constitution of the “Association of Planters of Ecuador”
 made in the city of Guayaquil on January 18, 1913, and taking into consideration
 the provisions of article 537 of the civil code,
Resolved, That said constitution be approved with the following change:
The last part of article 4 shall read “50 sucres” instead of “500 sucres.”

CONTRACT OF THE ERMAN Tan SYNDICATE WITH AMERICAN

A copy of the contract made in March, 1911, by the German Potash
Syndicate with the several American concerns importing potash to
be used for fertilizer purposes is given below:

Whereas the syndicate is a corporation organized under and pursuant to the
laws of the German Empire for the purpose of acquiring and disposing of the
products of the potash mines comprising said syndicate or identified with it,
which number of mines at present represent 73 of the 75 mines now existing
and in operation within the German Empire; and
Whereas the syndicate, pursuant to the power and authority vested in it by
the laws of the German Empire, its certificate of incorporation, and the by-laws
made pursuant thereto, has made and established certain rules and regulations
for the conduct of its business and has promulgated and affixed a schedule of
prices for the products of said syndicate mines and the terms and conditions
opon which the products may be purchased, classified its customers, fixed a scale
of tonnage and the prices and discounts thereon; and
Whereas the buyer is engaged in the business of manufacturing fertilizers
and distributing same within the United States of America and can only purchase
 and acquire the potash required by the buyer in its manufacturing business
 and for the sale among its customers from the syndicate; and
Whereas the buyer, in order to obtain its supplies and requirements of potash
salts for use in its business as aforesaid, is compelled and required by the syndicate
 to agree to each and all the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth
and contained as a condition prerequisite to obtaining the quantity of potash
salts stated hereinafter in article 5 purchased by the buyer from the syndicate,
which conditions and requirements the syndicate here affirms,
Now, therefore, in consideration of the premises and the sum of one dollar
($1.00) to each in hand paid, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, it is
