TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF TRADE.
Sir,
The Advisory Committee on Commercial Intelligence has now been in
existence for nearly four years, and the Committee think it may be of
interest to lay before you a brief report of their proceedings since they were

Changes in Membership of Committee.
We regret to have to state that during the period which has elapsed
since this Minute was signed we have been deprived by death of the
assistance of two of our original colleagues—Sir Courtenay Boyle and Sir
Frederick Abel—and by retirement from the public service of two others—
Sir Henry Bergne and the late Sir Charles Bernard. It will easily be understood
that the loss of such able and experienced colleagues has been severely felt.
On the other hand, the Committee has been strengthened by the appointment
