COMMERCIAL INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE :

The Committee cannot conclude their Report without recording their high
appreciation of the services of Mr. Thomas Worthington, the principal of the
Commercial Intelligence Branch of the Board of Trade, to whose zeal and
discretion, combined with practical commercial experience, the success already
attained by the Branch is largely due. They look forward to a wide extension
of the utility of the Branch under Mr. Worthington’s administration in its
new and more convenient premises in the City.
The Committee also wish to acknowledge their deep indebtedness to their
Secretary, Mr. G. J. Stanley, who has given them most valuable help
throughout the whole period covered by this Report, and whose exceptional
knowledge, especially with regard to tariff matters, has been of the greatest
possible assistance to them in their deliberations.
We have, &c.
