not being asked to find any additional money. 
We hope that this book will tend to 
reduce materially the number of badly dis 
tributed investment lists which at present exist, 
and thereby prevent further large loss of 
capital. Quite as much money is lost from 
want of adequate distribution of capital as 
is swallowed up by losses made in specu 
lation and gambling, although it may surprise 
many people to hear that this is so.
