LENIN ON ORGANIZATION 
Reformists, and Turatti-ists from the Party, but it 
may be useful even to remove Communists, who 
waver and reveal inclinations towards ‘unity’ with 
the Reformists, from all responsible posts . . . . 
On the eve of revolution and in the midst of severe 
fighting for its victory, the slightest wavering within 
the Party may lead to the loss of all, to the defeat 
of the revolution and to power being torn out of 
the hands of the proletariat; for this power has not 
yet been consolidated, and the pressure of the 
enemy upon it is still too strong. If wavering 
leaders retire at such a moment it will not weaken, 
but on the contrary, it will strengthen the Party, 
the labor movement and the revolution.” 
Unfortunately, this was not done in time in Italy 
and we saw the deplorable consequences of this 
lack of determination. 
In order to illustrate the views of V. I. Lenin on 
the question of organization in the period of the 
fight against the Liquidators, we reproduce the 
resolution of the Conference of Dec., 1908, extracts 
from an article written by Lenin, entitled “On the 
Road,”—4 review of the resolution of the December 
Conference,—extracts from another article entitled 
“Liquidation of the Liquidators”—resolution of the 
Bolshevik Conference of January, 1912, on the 
question of organization and the Liquidators, at 
Which the Bolsheviks expelled the Liquidators from 
the Party and finally repudiated them.
