II.—Additional Charges in 1926-27. 
(E.)—INCREASES DUE TO DECISIONS OF THE PRESENT 
PARLIAMENT AND GOVERNMENT. 
In the absence of any revision of these decisions it is estimated 
that the following charges would have fallen to be met in 1926-27, 
the amounts in each case being the increase on the original estimate, 
if any, for 1925-26 :—

Increase of Education Estimates due to the 
diversion of teachers’ pension contributions 
to the Exchequer under the Teachers’ 
Superannuation Act, 1925. In 1925-26 
these contributions are being appropriated 
in aid of the Education Votes. This charge 
is, of course, balanced by an equivalent 
addition to the revenue side of the account 
and involves no fresh burden on the taxpayer 2,730,000 
Total : we 24,447,000
