Ausfuhr- handel beträgt 8 594,7 15688,3 6 706,2 12 956,4 Der Anteil der Textilindustrie am Außenhandel beträgt demnach 25,9 Proz. 22,6 Proz. 45,9 Proz. 36,9 Proz. England hat unter den europäischen Staaten die höchste Ein- und Aus fuhr an Textilwaren. Der Anteil der Textilindustrie Englands an der Einfuhr der europäischen Staaten im Jahre 1913 beträgt 29,5 Proz., an der Ausfuhr 41,7 Proz. Besonders in der Ausfuhr besitzt es die weitaus höchste Quote, da der Anteil Deutschlands an der Ausfuhr der Textilwaren nur 13,7 Proz. und der Frankreichs 15,4 Proz. beträgt. Die Erhöhung seit 1890 in der Einfuhr mit 59.2 Proz. und in der Aus fuhr mit 54,8 Proz. ist keine so hohe wie in Deutschland oder in Frankreich (siehe S. 40), doch hatte England bereits im Jahre 1890 sehr hohe Ein- und Ausfuhrwerte, die in aufsteigender Richtung nie so leicht zu erhöhen sind wie niedrigere Werte. Betreffs der Entwickelung der einzelnen Gruppen zeigt die Ausfuhr der Baumwolle, Jute und Konfektion die stärkste Erhöhung, während die der Wolle und Halbwolle viel niedriger ist. Die Erhöhung bei der Ausfuhr an Leinen erreicht den allgemeinen Durchschnitt; die englische Seidenausfuhr besitzt keine besondere Bedeutung.
