Only as above stated, the chemical extraction system requiring complex equipments and higher degree of pres- sure, the steamed Beans cannot be wrapped up in reed in the manufacturing process, as in the case of round cake, for fear of geting cut, and a fabric woven with a higher- priced human hair or camels’ hair will be wanted for the purpose, raising the producing cost to that extent. Moreover, bean plate, assuming an oblong shape and being of a comparatively small thickness, is liable to break- age while under transportation, and may be conveniently packed ‘in gunnies. Moreover, the bean oil put out by the bean plate system containing protein, if it is subject to a high temperature, will get discoloured black. For this rea- son, it needs to be subjected to a refining process. The bean plate system owing to the excellent quality of bean plate and the higher oil percentage obtainable than by the round cake system, is regarded as superior to the other. However, the greater complexity of equipments, that will fix larger capital, qu'ck damage done to the enveloping fabric, as mentioned above, and the necessity to refine bean oil all conspire to raise its price by nob less than 20 per cent at least over round cake of the same amount.
