Of the above trade routes, what is carried by other than the S.M.R. Lines is quite insignificant in amount. Of the total production of 33,000,000 ‘‘koku’, or about 4,820,000 tons of Beans in all Manchuria, about 16,000,000 “koku’’ or 2,850,000 tons are placed on the South Man- chur'an markets mainly by the S.M.R.
