This booklet does not pretend to exhaust the subject of iron and steel as handled in the Pittsburgh District, nor to enumerate all the many different corporations and firms engaged in the industry. It is merely suggestive of the importance of the City in this vital industrial department. The Bank keeps in touch with financial develop- ments at home and abroad, and is at all times ready to attend promptly to all details of Banking, in any portion of the Globe. We submit on the following pages a partial list of our correspondents in the different parts of the world, which enables us to offer excellent service in connection with any banking transactions. Particular mention is made of the facilities of our Foreign Exchange Department, as follows: ForereN EXCHANGE: Drafts, Cheques, Money Orders and Bills of Exchange are bought and sold at current rates in dollars or foreign currencies. CommERCIAL CREDITS: We issue Letters of Credit, drafts against which may be drawn at sight or time, to finance imports and exports. COLLECTIONS: Cheques and drafts are accepted for collection payable in foreign currencies, and when necessary we make ad- vances pending collection. ACCEPTANCES: For the purpose of financing imports, exports or domes- tic shipments, Acceptance Credits are granted maturing at thirty, sixty, or ninety days. Commodities stored in warehouses may also be financed under such Credits.
