BRANCH OFFICES: Spokane and Tacoma, Wash.; Portland, Ore.; New York City. HISTORY: Organized under the laws of Washington July 10, 1928, as the United Corporation. Name changed to present in May, 19289. BUSINESS: A holding company, primarily conceived to acquire controlling in- terest in the “United Group” of corporations developed in Seattle by the invest- ment banking firm of Drumheller, Ehrlichman & White. Company’s charter grants broad powers, permitting acquisition of minority or majority interests in security or financial institutions, participation in under- writings, syndicates, etc. On June 30, 1930, United Founders Corp., New York, owned 10,754 shares of Common stock, approximately one-third of the control shares, and 100,000 Par- licipating Preference shares.
