Money Lending.
Ordered—[Tuesday, 6th April 1897] That a Select Committee be appointed to
inquire into the alleged evils attending Money Lending transactions at high rates of interest,
or under oppressive conditions as to repayment, between the poorer classes and professional
Money Lenders, and to report thereon.
That the Committee have power to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.
