The  hearts  of  men  were  touched  after  the  war.  The
touch  has  vanished  and  again  hearts  have  hardened.
Is  it  not  the  duty  of  each  one  of  us  to  do  all  we  can
to  bring  back  a  true  sympathy,  which  more  than  any
other  thing  can  ameliorate  the  present  unhappy
conditions  of  the  poor  ?
