LENIN ON ORGANIZATION
Lenin in “Conditions for Affiliation to the Comintern”—*“the
 Communist Party will be able to fulfill
its duty only if it will be organized in the most
centralized manner, if it will be governed by an
iron discipline, bordering on military discipline, and
if the Party centre will be an authoritative organ
with extensive powers enjoying the general confidence
 of the Party.
“Even in the present ‘normal times’ it is necessary
to put forward the principle of democratic centralism.
 At the same time, however, in view of the
temporary ebb of the revolutionary tide and the
appearance of right and left wing deviations in
various Parties, it is necessary, with more determination
 than ever, to combat every distortion of
Marxism and Leninism, every deviation from the
strict consistent Marxist-Leninist line of policy.
The unity of the Party, internal compactness and
strict revolutionary discipline in its ranks, are not
less necessary now than in the period of civil war.
Finally, flexibility of organization, the ability quickly
 to adapt it to changing conditions,—while preserving
 the fundamental principles of Bolshevik
organization,—are necessary.”
This is the testament left by Lenin to all the
Sections of the Communist International as given
in his speeches at the Fourth Congress of the Communist
 International at the end of 1922. The task
of all the Sections of the Communist International
is speedily to fulfill it.
