A. — Budgetary Situation 
The first budget of the Irish Free State was for the fiscal year 1 924-25. 
For that year the total revenue was £27,542,200, and the total expenditure 
£29.718,631, leaving a deficit of £2,176,431. The budget for the fiscal 
year 1925-26 is given below:

B. — Import and Export Statistics 
There are no figures covering the foreign trade of the Irish Free State 
prior to 1924. Imports during the calendar year 1 924 amounted to 
£65,811,406, and exports amounted to £49,752,313. For the first three 
months of 1925 imports totaled £15,551.920, and exports £9.548,047.
