Pasco and Kennewick, Wash., costing approximately $490,000. Opened for traffic
Oct., 1922.
SUBSIDIARIES: Company controls Wauna toll bridge, which crosses Columbia
river from Cascade Locks on the Oregon side to a point 2 miles west of Stevenson,

HISTORY: Incorporated under laws of Washington, 1911.
BUSINESS: Company supplies electric light and power in Portland. Ore.. and in
Vancouver, Wash., and 10 adjacent communities, serving a population estimated
at 360,000. Also conducts a steam heating business in the husiness district
of Portland.
PROPERTY: Owns a hydro-electric generating station on the White Salmon
river about 65 miles from Portland with a capacity of 12,000 k.w., a steam generating
plant with a capacity of 7,000 k.w., in the downtown business section of
Portland, and a steam generating plant with a capacity of 15,500 k.w. on the
Willamette river within the city limits, making a combined capacity of 34,500
k.w.; operates 255 miles of transmission lines, and 582 miles of distributing lines.
Also owns undeveloped water power rights and flowage lands within a reasonable
distance of Portland.
