number of independent sellers by grouping them into a com-
paratively small number of selling organisations. On the manu-
facturing side the tyre industry is already concentrated in powerful
hands. In regard to the rest of the industry, much scope exists
for closer working arrangements with a view to the concentration
of factories into larger units, the conduct of research, the distribu-
tion of information and the establishment of recognised grades
and standard specifications.
