During the year 1927, 3,229 complaints of violations of awards and
ndustrial agreements were investigated. There were 381 prosecutions
 for violation of agreements or awards not referring to stoppages
 of work—>55 against workers and 826 against employers—and
527 convictions. There have been only two prosecutions for strikes;
one of them, covering 85 workers, led to conviction.
Thirteen industrial disturbances of any importance occurred
during the year.
