Manufacturers, as well as grain dealers, whom I interviewed relative
 to existing opportunities in this district for the sale of macaroni
wheat stated that, having absolutely no knowledge of wheat known
as macaroni wheat and in the absence of samples and prices, they
could not give an opinion regarding the same, but added that if the
grain in question was a hard wheat it would be difficult to sell it on
this market,

PRICES OF BELGIAN AND FRENCH FLOUR.

The price of Belgian flour varies from $3.86 to $4.82 per 220.46
pounds. French macaroni flour (semolina) costs $4.82 per 220.46
pounds at Marseilles; transportation charges, etc., (about 96 cents
per 220.46 pounds) are at the expense of the purchaser.

DUTY.

Duty on all kinds of flour coming into Belgium is 2 francs per
100 kilograms (38.6 cents per 220.46 pounds).

The present prices of wheat in the Brussels market are as follows,
