Full text: The money ABC saving railway rate book of mileages and standard changes as from January 1st, 1928

The arrangements regarding actual machine weight and measurement weight on and from January 1st, 1928, apply tc 
timber charged at Standard and Exceptional Rates. 
Any Exceptional Rate continued for a timber which under the new regulation must be charged only at measuremer 
weight, will have applied to it the weight as computed in the Tables set out in the Timber Classification. 
The computations up to December 31st. 1927, will cease as from January 1st. 1928. 
THROUGH BOCKED TRAFFIC WITH IRELAND, THE CONTINENT, THE 
ISLE OF MAN, AND CHANNEL ISLANDS. 
The new Classification does not apply. The rates in force on December 31st, 1927, will continue until further notice. 
PRIVATE SIDING TRAFFIC. 
Private Siding Traffic, on and from January 1st, where no exceptional rate is noted the full Standard rate, including 
terminals, will be charged, except where special provision is made for a charge in addition to the Station Rate. Where 
siding distances are shown separately the Standard rates will be calculated on the siding distance; where separate siding 
distances are not shown. on the station distance. 
TOLLS AND HAULAGE CHARGES. 
Where tolls now being levied or separate haulage charges made, these must be continued on and from January ls 
except— 
(a) Where new charges appear in the Rate Books. 
(b) Other charges have been instituted. 
MANCHESTER DOCKS SHIPPING TRAFFIC. 
RATES WITH MANCHESTER DOCKS (SHIPPING), MANCHESTER DOCKS (WORKS), BRIDGWATER 
JUNCTION (FOR TRAFFORD PARK), AND TRAFFORD PARK JUNCTION FOR TRAFFORD PARK 
AND WORKS AND PREMISES ON THE MANCHESTER SHIP CANAL LINES OTHER THAN 
AT MANCHESTER. 
The existing Classification and rates will be continued until further notice. 
SCALE OF CHARGES FCR THE SERVICE OF TRANSFER TO A RAILWAY 
OF A DIFFERENT GAUGE. 
On traffic with stations shewn below the Standard Charges produced by the application of the distances published in 
this book are to be increased by the following amounts in respect of the transfer of traffic to a railway of a different 
gauge :—
