HISTORY: Incorporated under laws of Maine, 1910.
BUSINESS: Supplies electric light and power to 123 communities in Washington,
 Idaho and Oregon, including 5 supplied at wholesale: and water service to
6 communities. Included in the communities served are Astoria and Pendleton,
Ore.; Lewiston, Idaho, and Yakima and Walla Walla, Wash., which are supplied
with electric power, light; Kennewick, Wash., which is supplied with electric
light, power and water, and Prosser, Wash., and The Dalles and Hood River, Ore.,
which are supplied with electric light and power. Population served approximately
 181,000.
PROPERTY: Properties include generating plants with a capacity of 46,816
K.w., 1,633 miles of distribution lines, 1,121 miles of transmission lines, and 92
miles of water mains.
FRANCHISES: Either unlimited as to time or extent for long periods.
