m  connection  with  the  figures  in  the  above  Table  the  following  remarks
relating  to  certain  occupations  should  be  noted.
Building  Trades.—The  wages  and  hours  of  painters  as  fixed  by  agreement
are  27s.  for  a  week  of  60  hours,  but  from  20s.  to  24s.  for  a  week  of  54  hours  is
the  rate  frequently  paid.
