zugen, sondern muß sich mit beiden befassen 
“Was den Lohn anlangt, so ist seine Definition, so kurz sie 
uuch ist, von einer unglaublichen Tragweite: „Der Lohn entspricht 
dem Teil, den sie (die Arbeiter) am Erzeugnis als Mitbesitzer haben 2 ).“ ' 
Ler Ausdruck „entspricht“ will sagen, daß der Arbeiter, der sein 
^aturrecht auf sein Arbeitserzeugnis nicht ausüben kann oder will, 
es zu einem Geldpreis veräußert; und dieser Preis ist es, der seinen 
Lohn darstellt, der wie alle Verkaufspreise „durch die Konkurrenz 
der Käufer und Verkäufer bestimmt wird.“ Condillac stellt es daher 
ni cht als ein Naturgesetz hin, daß dieser Lohn stets auf das Existenz- 
Minimum beschränkt ist. Er wird von dem Angebot und der Nach 
frage abhängen. Im Gegenteil wird die Klasse der Lohnempfänger 
hier als eine Art latente Assoziation zwischen Kapital und Arbeit 
hingestellt 3 ). 
Sogar vom Gesichtspunkt der praktischen Anwendung und be- 
sonders der Arbeitsfreiheit und der Verurteilung der Zünfte ist 
Condillac viel kategorischer als die Physiokraten gewesen. „Ihre 
''^'rechte sind schreiendes Unrecht, das uns nur deshalb als ordnungs 
gemäß erscheint, weil wir es als bestehend vorfinden 4 ).“ Die Freiheit 
hes Darlehnsgeschäftes und des Zinsfußes verlangt er ebenso kate 
gorisch wie Tüegot, indem er gleich ihm eine formvollendete Beweis- 
hhrung der Gleichheit zwischen Zinsen und Wechslergebühren führt; 
enn ! sagt er, Wechslergebühren sind der Ausgleich der Entfernung; 
„räumliche Entfernung“ und „zeitliche Entfernung“ laufen auf 
a sselbe hinaus 5 ). Mit anderen Worten: das eine ist in der Zeit
