Mark entfallen auf den Inlandsverbrauch 46,3 Proz., auf die Ausfuhr 53,7 Proz. Der Inlandsverbrauch selbst wird gedeckt von der inländischen Produktion von der Einfuhr zu 91,5 Proz. zu 8,5 Proz. Französisch-lndien hatte eine Bevölkerung von ungefähr 282388. Der Verbrauch an Textilwaren pro Person und Jahr betrug demnach: 24,65 Mk. mit Jutewaren 21,24 „ ohne „ Australischer Bund. Ein- und Ausfuhr im Jahre 1912. In Millionen Mark. Im Inlande wurden im Jahre 1911/I2 folgende Rohstoffe gewonnen: 314500 t rohe Wolle im ungefähren Werte von 562 Mill. Mk. Australien und Neuseeland sind bekanntlich die stärksten Produktions länder von roher Wolle. Über die dortigen Verhältnisse gibt ein nachstehend im Auszug wiedergegebener Bericht des deutschen Generalkonsulats in Sydney *) genauere Unterlagen.
