In 1924 acquired the gas property of the Pacific Power & Light Co., in Vancouver, Wash. Controls through stock ownership Northwest Gas and Electric Equipment Co. BUSINESS: Supplies gas without competition in Vancouver, Wash; Portland and Oregon City, Ore, and in 20 other communities in Oregon in the vicinity ot Portland, serving a population of about 400,000. Gas works have a daily generat- ing capacity of 29,000,000 cu. ft. and a gas holder capacity of 11,339,000 cu. ft.
