Die offizielle Statistik zeigt für das Jahr 1872 eine Abnahme in der Fläche des bebauten Bodens — verglichen mit 1871 — von 134915 Aeres. Es fand „Zunahme“ statt im Anbau von Grünfrucht (Futterrüben, Mangoldwurzel und dergleichen), „Abnahme“ in der Fläche des bebauten Bodens von 16000 Acres für Weizen, 14000 Acres für Hafer, 4000 Aeres für Gerste und Roggen, 66 632 Acres für Kartoffeln, 34 667 Acres für Fiachs und 30000 Acres weniger in Wiesen, Klee, Wicke und Rübsamen. Der unter Weizenkultur befindliche Boden zeigt für die letzten 5 Jahre folgende abnehmende Stufenleiter: 1868 285 000 Acres, 1869 280000 Acres, 1870 259000 Acres, 1871 244.000 Aeres, 1872 228000 Acres. Für 1872 finden wir in runder Zahl eine Zunahme von 2600 Pferden, 80000 Hornvieh, 68 609 Schafen und eine Abnahme von 236 000 Schweinen. Tomen 146 398 165 976 24.945
