(under 14 years) . 68 These workpeople were engaged in 17,915 undertakings of all kinds, in Berlin, Charlottenburg, Rixdorf, and Schöneberg, subject to supervision by the factory inspectors, and so may be regarded as representing the “industrial population” in the limited sense of the factory inspectors’ reports. No less than 37*2 per cent, of all the workpeople enumerated by the Factory Inspectors in 1906 belonged to these various industries, and the adult males employed in them represented 46'4 per cent, of all the male workpeople engaged in factories and workshops.
