MARINE BANCORPORATION 
GENERAL OFFICE: 1100 Second Ave. Seattle, Wash. 
HISTORY; Incorporated under laws of Washington Sept. 10, 1927, as a holding 
company, sponsored by the late John E. Price, Andrew Price and associates, to 
acquire, through exchange of stock, control of three Seattle banks, known as 
the “Marine group” and controlled by the Price associates, as follows: Marine 
National Bank, Marine Central Bank, Marine State Bank. 
Shares were offered to the public and taken readily, followed, within 9 
months, by acquisition of 5 additional banks in the state of Washington, as 
follows: Capital National Bank, Olympia, Feb., 1928; Grays Harbor National Bank, 
Aberdeen, Mar. 14, 1928; National City Bank, Seattle; National Bank of Commerce, 
Seattle, April, 1928; First National Bank, Cosmopolis. 
The Montesano State Bank was acquired in August, 1929; First National 
Bank of Mount Vernon, Sept., 1929; LaConner State Bank, Oct. 1, 1929. 
CONSOLIDATIONS: In June, 1928, the Marine National Bank was consolidated 
with the National Bank of Commerce. Feb. 1, 1929, the National City Bank 
was also merged with the National Bank of Commerce, thus forming one bank 
of more than $35.000.000 resources in downtown Seattle. 
NAMES CHANGED: In June, 1930, the Marine Central Bank and the Marine 
State Bank were nationalized and names changed, respectively, to Central 
National Bank of Commerce (located at Westlake and Olive, in uptown Seattle) 
and Washington National Bank of Commerce (located at E. 45th St. and Univer- 
sity Way, in the University District). 
SUBSIDIARIES: Company owns entire common stock of the Marine National 
Company, an investment organization which distributes, underwrites and partici- 
pates in syndicates of, securities. Total resources more than $2.000.000 
King County Building Co., resources $130,000.
