Fiji Islands, India, Burma, Federated Malay States, Straits Settlements, 
South Africa, Rhodesia, Kenya, British West Indies, Jamaica, British 
Guiana, British Honduras, Newfoundland and Great Britain, 
Its factories are at Toronto, and it produces a number of lines, including 
Rubber Footwear, Canvas Rubber Soled Footwear, Rubber Heels and Soles, 
Rubber Conveyor and Transmission Belting, Rubber Hose, Cotton Rubber 
Lined Hose, Rubber Packing, General Mechanical Rubber Goods, etc., Auto- 
mobile Tyres, Tubes, Accessories, ete. 
Capital Stock authorised: Preferred, £412,000; Common, £826,000. 
Total, £1,238,000. 
The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company of Canada, Limitéd, Toronto. 
This Company was incorporated in Ontario, 30th March, 1927, as successor 
to a company of the same name incorporated in Ontario, 2nd December, 
1919, which also was successor to a company of the same name incorporated 
in 1910 under the Dominion Companies Act, by interests connected with the 
Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company of Akron, Ohio, U.S.A. Through its 
affiliation with that concern, this Company has the benefits of patents, com- 
pounds, research departments, laboratories, etc. 
The company manufactures automobile tyres, both pneumatic and solid, 
also tyres for motor-trucks and motor-cycles. It also manufactures hose, 
belting, packing, tubes, plumbers’ supply, moulded goods, rubber heels and 
soles and other rubber products. 
The company has two plants—one in New Toronto having a floor space 
of 25.86 acrés and the other in Bowmanville having a floor space of about 
four acres. Both plants are of brick construction, and include Power 
Houses. All the power is purchased from the Hydro-Electric Power 
Commission. 
The company is the largest manufacturer of rubber goods in the Dominion 
of Canada, and employs 3,000 workpeople. 
In addition the company has branches in Halifax, St. John, Quebec, 
Montreal, Ottawa, Hamilton, London, Fort William, Winnipeg, Regina, 
Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. 
In April, 1926, the Goodyear Cotton Co. of (Canada, Ltd., a subsidiary, 
acquired the business and assets of Canadian Manhasset Cotton Co. of 
Canada, Ltd., at St. Hyacinthe, Que. The Goodyear Cotton Co. of Canada, 
Ltd., manufactures cotton fabrics and cotton ducks used in the manufacture 
of tyres and rubber goods. The plant, with 20,000 spindles, is located on 
eight acres of land at St. Hyacinthe, Que., and has a floor space of 3.89 
acres and employs 420 workpeople. } 
" All the common stock of Goodyear Cotton Co. of Canada, Ltd., is held by 
the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company of Canada, Ltd. 
Gregory Tire and Rubber, 1926, Limited, Vancouver. 
Gregory Tire and Rubber, 1926, Litd., Port Coquitlam, B.C. This com- 
pany operated under a British Columbia Charter obtained in April, 1926, in 
succession to the Gregory Tire and Rubber Co., incorporated in 1919, with 
an authorised capital of £309,000. It is not affiliated with any United States 
organisation. The ownership and capital is entirely Canadian, the assets 
of thie original company having been purchased by a syndicate of Vancouver 
and New Westminster, men, to whom the new charter was granted. 
Since the reorganisation, the company has made excellent progress and has 
established. not only a broad distribution of its products in the domestic 
market, but has secured export markets in New Zealand, West Indies, 
British Honduras and the Fijis.
